The Reverend George Stevens
VicarThe Rev. George R. Stevens was appointed to serve as the Vicar of St.
John’s in June of 2018. It’s his second time serving at St. John’s, previously
working as the Curate from 2006-2009.
He is a graduate of the General Theological Seminary in New York. Prior
to seminary, George attended the University of Richmond, where he studied
history and religion. He’s served the Diocese of Massachusetts as chair of the
Financial advisory committee and on Diocesan council.
George and his wife Margaret live in Essex with their two children, Henry
and Anne, and their hound dog Miles. George is an avid runner, reader of short
stories and baker. George loves coffee and would love to have a cup with you
anytime!
